U.K. MIDWEEKS: A FUTURE #1?

Bastille is on track to claim its third U.K. Official Albums #1 with Give Me the Future (Virgin). Over on singles, ArrDee and Aitch are heading for this week’s highest new entry.

Give Me the Future enjoys more than double the chart sales of its closest competition at the halfway point. The set leads an all-new Top 5 on today’s midweek update, with The Divine Comedy’s self-released greatest-hits collection, Charmed Life, at #2.

Black Country, New Road’s Ants From Up There (Ninja Tune) could debut at #3, followed by Korn’s 14th album, Requiem (Loma Vista), at #4. Mitski’s Laurel Hell (Dead Oceans) rounds out the Top 5.

Carpe Diem (Silver Lining Music) by heavy-metal outfit Saxon is the final new entry in today’s Top 10, pacing for a #7 debut. Following the release of special-edition vinyl, Dave’s debut, Psychodrama (NBR), has leapt 54 places to #13.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” (Walt Disney) from Encanto is on track for a fourth week at #1.

ArrDee and Aitch’s “War” (Island) could debut at #3 Friday, while Liam Gallagher might score his first U.K. Top 10 single with “Everything’s Electric” (Warner Music U.K.), at #5.

Rapper Hazey looks set to reach a new peak of #8 with viral single “Packs & Potions” (Sony). Nicki Minaj f/Lil Baby’s “Do We Have a Problem?” (Republic) starts at #16.

Tate McRae’s “She’s All I Wanna Be” (RCA) starts at #17, and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Black Summer” (Warner Records) is on track for #19.
